Secrets to Getting Into Harvard Law School

เขียนโดย montana | 07:26

Harvard Law School is one of the most prestigious, if not the most prestigious, law schools in the United States. Thousands upon thousands of people apply to this school every year only to get denied and sent a response to try back next year. Many of the most successful judges, politicians, and many more public figures have graduated from Harvard Law School. While Harvard Law School Admissions seems next to impossible to get into, that is not always the case.

Getting into Harvard basically starts with High School. Grades have to be perfect. Other things like extracurricular activities are extremely important. While Harvard appreciates football and basketball, those are not the type of extracurricular activities they are looking for. They are looking for extracurricular activities such as a debate team that wins conferences, a language club, and things that exercise the mind rather than the body.

Interviewing well is also another huge thing for Harvard Law School Admissions. The interview with potential candidates I just like a singer going to a record company. The student has to do something extraordinary so that they stick out in the minds of the interviewer just as in any job. The interview is one of the biggest aspects considered by the admissions board at Harvard Law School.

Having an excellent Bachelor's program is also extremely important for Harvard Law School Admissions. If the Bachelor's program didn't go so well and not enough time was put into studying and grades, then they do not want someone like that at their school. All of the extra time must be devoted to succeeding and becoming one of the top of the graduating class.

Class structure is also very important. It is important to find out what types of classes the Harvard Law School Admissions department looks for in applicants. Many times, classes are taken in the Bachelor's program that is completely irrelevant to law. That is why it is important to take law oriented classes for electives and not easy classes that are a breeze. The Admissions department is not looking for people that just want to get by. They are looking for people that are dedicated to their career.

Harvard Law School Admissions can be very difficult and stressful. It is important to remember that the time that is put into it is the time that will be gotten out of it. It is important to be prepared completely for every aspect of the admissions program and to know exactly what the school expects. They expect the potential students to know what is expected because if it is not, then they figure that the student does not want to go to school there bad enough. Unlike many other colleges, everything at Harvard Law School is done by the student.

How to Get Into Harvard Law School - Take the LSAT in June

เขียนโดย montana | 01:36

Want a tip for how to get into Harvard Law School? Take the LSAT in June before law schools begin accepting applications. In other words, if you are in college, take the LSAT in June right after you complete your junior year. The test is administered four times per year (February, June, October, and December) at hundreds of locations around the world. Many law schools require that the LSAT be taken in December for admission the following fall.

Do not be fooled. Many who wonder how to get into Harvard Law School forget the primary goal when applying to law school: take advantage of rolling admissions. To do that, you must submit all your applicaion materials right when law schools begin accepting applications, usually in September or October. Your application materials must include your LSAT score to be complete and ready for review. You will not receive your LSAT score, however, until three to four weeks after you take the test (in three weeks by e-mail if you have an online account with LSAC or in four weeks by regular mail).

This problem rules out taking the test in October or December. The goal is for Harvard to have all of your credentials in hand when it receives your application materials. If you take the test in October, Harvard will not have your test score until mid-November. Taking the test in December will not yield a score until January. Thus, taking the test earlier--in June--is imperative. You will have your score by July. You can then focus on the other aspects of the admissions process, like your personal statement or the letters of recommendation. Moreover, you would not have to balance your efforts in those areas with the stressful proccess of studying for the LSAT.

The process of how to get into Harvard Law School requires that you follow this advice and take the LSAT in June at the latest.
